KAI Deploys 11 New CRRC-Made KRL Trains in Jabodetabek

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has officially put into operation 11 new KRL trains manufactured by CRRC (China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation) in the Jabodetabek region. These state-of-the-art trains have successfully completed rigorous technical certification processes conducted by the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) under the Ministry of Transportation. The certification ensures that the new trains meet stringent safety and reliability standards before entering commercial service.

In addition to the CRRC-made trains, KAI is also preparing to deploy 4 new KRL sets manufactured by PT Industri Kereta Api (INKA), which are currently undergoing the certification process by DJKA. President Prabowo Subianto has not only endorsed KAI's plan to acquire 30 additional KRL sets but has also approved an increased budget allocation from the initial request of Rp 4.8 trillion to Rp 5 trillion.
