Rehabilitation of National Roads in Aceh Tamiang

Background

The Ministry of Public Works (PU) has announced the completion of the rehabilitation of 7 national road sections in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh Province. The roads, with a total length of 35.96 kilometers, were previously damaged due to floods, landslides, and sediment accumulation after the disaster.

Rehabilitation Efforts

The rehabilitation efforts were carried out by the Balai Pelaksanaan Jalan Nasional (BPJN) Aceh, a regional office of the Ministry of Public Works. The project aimed to restore the connectivity of the national roads, which is crucial for the economic recovery of the affected area.

Importance of National Roads

Minister of Public Works Dody Hanggodo emphasized that the recovery of national road functions is a top priority after the disaster. National roads play a vital role in connecting the affected area to other parts of the country, facilitating the distribution of goods and services, and supporting the mobility of the community.
