Key insights and market outlook
Airbus delivered around 30 aircraft in the first half of December 2025, falling short of its revised target of 790 aircraft for the year. The company still needs to deliver over 100 aircraft in the remaining half of December to meet its target. Analysts view this as a challenging task given the current delivery rate.
Airbus has delivered approximately 30 aircraft in the first half of December 2025, according to industry sources and analysts. This delivery rate is below average for the month, partly due to some airlines waiting for details on recent airframe issues.
With this delivery, Airbus has shipped 657 aircraft between January and November, totaling around 687 aircraft by mid-December. To reach their revised target of 790 aircraft for 2025, the company must deliver over 100 aircraft in the second half of December.
Analyst Rob Morris described this as a "very heavy challenge" given the current pace. Data from Cirium showed 29 deliveries up to the previous Friday, supporting the view that the target is ambitious.
The challenge in meeting the delivery target could have implications for Airbus's production and operational efficiency. It may also affect investor confidence and the company's market position relative to competitors.
