Commitment to Inclusive Employment

Alfamart continues to strengthen its commitment to providing equal employment opportunities for people with disabilities through its Alfability program. As of October 2025, 1,129 individuals with disabilities are working across various roles in Alfamart's stores, distribution centers, and offices. This inclusive program, launched in 2016, has created a diverse workforce that includes employees with various disabilities such as intellectual, visual, physical, and hearing impairments.

Alfability Menyapa: Inspiring the Next Generation

The company organized 'Alfability Menyapa' events in 10 cities (Cilacap, Jakarta, Jambi, Jember, Luwu, Palembang, Parung, Semarang, Banjarmasin, and Rembang) between November 19-25, 2025. These events featured inspirational stories of Alfamart employees with disabilities who returned to their former Special Needs Schools to share their career experiences with current students. The events were designed to show that individuals with disabilities have equal opportunities to grow and develop in the workplace.

Personal Stories of Success

Two Alfamart employees, Meri Amelia and Boyle Fernando, who are deaf and mute, shared their personal journeys during the Alfability Menyapa event at SLBN 01 Jakarta. Meri, who has been working at Alfamart for five years, and Boyle, who has been with the company for three years, spoke about their experiences working in a retail environment. They highlighted that Alfamart provides an inclusive work environment where they receive the same benefits as other employees and are supported by their colleagues. Their stories inspired the students and showed them that disabilities are not barriers to success in the workplace.

Impact and Future Plans

The Alfability program has become a cornerstone of Alfamart's corporate social responsibility initiatives. By creating opportunities for people with disabilities, Alfamart is not only promoting diversity and inclusion but also enriching its workforce with diverse perspectives and talents. The company plans to continue expanding its efforts to support people with disabilities and promote a culture of inclusion in the workplace.
