Apersi Reinforces Commitment to Affordable Housing

Supporting Government's 'Rumah Rakyat' Initiative

The Indonesian Association of Housing and Settlement Developers (Apersi) has reaffirmed its commitment to constructing 219,000 subsidized homes within the next five years, aligning with the government's 'Rumah Rakyat' (People's Housing) program. This initiative is part of President Prabowo Subianto's broader Three Million Houses Program, aimed at addressing Indonesia's housing needs for low-income households.

Significant Progress in Subsidized Housing

As of November 14, 2025, Apersi has successfully facilitated 219,631 subsidized homes through the Fasilitas Likuiditas Pembiayaan Perumahan (FLPP) mortgage scheme. The total value of these transactions amounts to approximately Rp 26.3 trillion, distributed across 5,416 housing developments in 311 regencies/cities nationwide. This achievement underscores Apersi's dedication to making affordable housing accessible to Indonesia's low-income population.

Alignment with National Housing Goals

Apersi's efforts are in line with the government's focus on enhancing housing affordability. The association's chairman, Junaidi Abdillah, emphasized that providing housing for low-income communities has been Apersi's primary focus since its establishment in 1998. The organization views homeownership as crucial for improving the dignity of Indonesian citizens, thereby supporting the government's broader socioeconomic objectives.
