ASDP Supports Sumatra Flood Relief with Strategic Ship Deployment

Rapid Response to Natural Disaster

PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) has taken decisive action in response to the recent flooding in Sumatra by deploying its KMP Jatra II ship to support relief efforts. The vessel has been relocated from Sibolga Port to strengthen logistical support for affected regions including Aceh, Singkil, West Sumatra, Sibolga, Gunungsitoli, and other coastal areas.

Key Features of the Deployment

The KMP Jatra II has been chosen for its large capacity and ability to reach island regions, making it an ideal asset for delivering emergency supplies and equipment to disaster-stricken areas. The ship's deployment is part of ASDP's broader commitment to providing both operational and material support to communities affected by the floods.

Operational Details

The ship was scheduled to depart from Sibolga on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, heading to Teluk Bayur-Padang Port, operated by PT Pelindo. During its journey, the vessel carried initial support supplies to accelerate the distribution of aid. The ship was then set to return to Sibolga on Thursday, December 4, 2025, carrying additional relief materials.
