Bakrie Group Completes Acquisition of Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road

Strategic Expansion in Infrastructure Sector

The Bakrie Group has strengthened its position in Indonesia's infrastructure sector through the acquisition of PT Cimanggis Cibitung Tollways (CCT), operator of the Cimanggis-Cibitung toll road. PT Bakrie Toll Indonesia (BTI), a subsidiary of the group, has successfully acquired 100% ownership of CCT through a Sale & Purchase Agreement with previous major shareholders PT Sarana Multi Infrastruktur (SMI) and PT Waskita Toll Road (WTR).

Acquisition Details

The transaction involved acquiring SMI's 55% stake and WTR's 35% stake in CCT, in addition to the Bakrie Group's existing 10% ownership through various entities. This brings BTI's total ownership to 100% of CCT's shares. The acquisition was formalized through a Sale & Purchase Agreement signed on November 28, 2025, in Jakarta.

Business Implications

The acquisition represents a significant strategic move for the Bakrie Group, expanding its presence in the toll road infrastructure sector. Anindya N. Bakrie, CEO of PT Bakrie & Brothers Tbk (BNBR), stated that the transaction was motivated by the strategic opportunity to consolidate full ownership of CCT.
