Ngurah Rai International Airport in Bali has introduced a free rest area facility called Serambi MyPertamina Mini/Compact during the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) holiday period. This initiative, a collaboration between Pertamina Patra Niaga and the airport, aimed to enhance passenger comfort and experience during the peak tourist season.
The free rest area provided various amenities, including free massage chairs, complimentary porter services, food, and beverages. These services were designed to cater to the needs of travelers arriving or waiting at the airport, ensuring a more comfortable and enjoyable journey. Travelers like Nadia from Jakarta appreciated the services, noting that the free massage chairs and porter assistance were particularly helpful, especially for those carrying heavy luggage.
During the Nataru task force period, a total of 34 similar facilities were strategically set up across various locations. Five units were placed at toll road rest areas, while 29 others were distributed across tourist areas, toll road rest stops, airports, and ports. These facilities included rest areas, information services, and other supporting services to enhance travel comfort during the year-end holiday.
The provision of these facilities demonstrates a collaborative effort between various stakeholders to improve the travel experience during peak seasons. By offering such amenities, the stakeholders aim to not only enhance passenger comfort but also contribute to a more positive overall experience for tourists visiting Bali during the Nataru holiday.
