Bank Mandiri has accelerated the distribution of disaster relief aid to communities affected by floods and landslides in Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra. As of December 3, 2025, the bank has distributed over 67,000 aid packages containing essential supplies such as food, blankets, and baby necessities. The relief efforts were carried out through collaboration with local authorities, BPBD, TNI, Polri, and Mandirian volunteers, ensuring effective and targeted distribution to affected areas.

The distribution process was carried out through a synergistic effort involving multiple stakeholders, including the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD), local governments, TNI, Polri, and Bank Mandiri employee volunteers (Mandirian). This collaboration enabled the acceleration of aid distribution, ensuring it reached affected areas more effectively. Corporate Secretary Bank Mandiri, Adhika Vista, stated that the bank's efforts were focused on ensuring that the aid reached the intended recipients through intensive coordination with local authorities and field partners.
The aid packages included various essential items such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, instant noodles, eggs, mineral water, blankets, women's and baby supplies, and mattresses. These supplies were distributed to numerous affected areas across the three provinces. In Aceh, aid reached locations such as Banda Aceh, Lhokseumawe, and Pidie. In North Sumatra, support was provided to areas including Pangkalan Brandan, Batang Toru, Sipirok, and Sibolga. Meanwhile, in West Sumatra, aid was delivered to Padang, Pariaman, Tanah Datar, Agam, and Pasaman.
Adhika Vista noted that despite some access challenges due to the disaster, the bank's team remained committed to accelerating the distribution process. Alternative routes were utilized to ensure that the aid reached the affected communities. Mandirian volunteers not only assisted in logistics distribution but also helped with operational coordination at aid posts, evacuation efforts, and management of other emergency needs.
These relief efforts are part of Bank Mandiri's Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, which continues to strengthen support, particularly in disaster-prone areas. Bank Mandiri expressed deep empathy for the affected communities and assured continued support as the situation develops. The bank remains committed to standing by the people of Sumatra until conditions stabilize.
