The program featured a collaborative effort with Bintan Resort Cakrawala (BRC) to implement the Bank Mandiri Green Collaboration program, focusing on tangible environmental actions.

Key Environmental Initiatives

1. Mangrove Tree Planting Ceremony: Held on November 8, 2025, at Lagoi Bay, Bintan, the ceremony was attended by Bank Mandiri's Director of Corporate Banking, Mochamad Rizaldi, and BRC's Vice President Director, Frans Gunara. This event symbolized public participation in environmental conservation.
2. Livin' Planet Feature: Through the Livin' by Mandiri app, participants could directly contribute to tree planting and track their carbon footprint. This digital initiative encouraged sustainable practices among users.
3. Interactive Booth: The Mandiri Looping for Life Booth in the race village allowed visitors to create accessories from recycled plastic, promoting circular economy principles.

Strategic Alignment with SDGs

This initiative is part of Bank Mandiri's broader sustainability strategy, particularly under the commitment to Catalyzing Multiple Growth for Social Impact to Achieve SDGs. The program specifically supports SDG 13 (Climate Action) and SDG 14 (Life Below Water) by promoting environmental conservation and reducing carbon emissions.

Impact and Future Plans

As of November 2025, the program has successfully planted over 900 trees and reduced carbon emissions by 50 tons CO₂e, equivalent to the emissions from driving a car for 175,000 kilometers. Bank Mandiri plans to continue expanding its sustainability initiatives through innovation and collaboration, ensuring that its business activities positively impact both society and the environment.
