The number of customers holding Hajj savings accounts has also risen by 6% compared to the end of December 2024.
The growth in Hajj savings was observed across various regions, with notable contributions from Jakarta, Central Java, and East Java. This widespread growth has positively impacted the bank's overall deposit mobilization, with Hajj savings accounting for more than 20% of Bank Mega Syariah's total savings.
Benadicto Alvonzo Ferary, Digital Business & Product Management Division Head at Bank Mega Syariah, attributed the growth to the bank's Tabungan Haji iB product. The product's features, such as low initial deposits, no monthly administration fees, and integration with SISKOHAT (Sistem Komputerisasi Haji Terpadu), have made it attractive to customers. Additionally, the product can be opened by individuals of all ages, both online through the M-Syariah application and in-person at branch offices.
The success of Tabungan Haji iB reflects the growing trust in Bank Mega Syariah's digital banking capabilities. The bank's ability to offer convenient, accessible, and cost-effective financial products has contributed to its strong performance in the Hajj savings segment.
