PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA) through its corporate social responsibility program, Bakti BCA, has provided disaster relief assistance to flood victims in Aceh Tamiang, Aceh. The aid included essential supplies such as food, clothing, medicine, tents, and sanitation facilities. BCA Syariah also contributed to the relief efforts by providing additional support including bottled water, food, and clothing. The total assistance provided by Bakti BCA across multiple locations included 520 kg of rice, 3,000 bottles of mineral water, and various other essential items.
PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BCA), through its Bakti BCA corporate social responsibility program, has delivered significant disaster relief assistance to communities affected by flooding in Kualasimpang, Aceh Tamiang, Aceh. The relief efforts, conducted on December 22, included a wide range of essential supplies such as food, beverages, clothing for various age groups, baby diapers, sanitary napkins, medicines, tents, sleeping mats, foldable beds (velbed), and blankets.
In collaboration with the Indonesian Army (TNI Angkatan Darat), Bakti BCA also provided critical infrastructure support including the construction of mandi, cuci, kakus (MCK) facilities, drilling of clean water wells, and installation of solar panels to power water pumps. These initiatives aim to restore basic services and support the recovery of affected communities. BCA Syariah also participated in the relief efforts by providing additional assistance including bottled drinking water, food items, biscuits, and clothing to the victims.
The total assistance provided by Bakti BCA across multiple disaster-affected locations - including Aceh Tamiang, Batang Toru, and Junjung Sirih - was comprehensive. The aid package included 520 kg of rice, 3,000 bottles of mineral water, approximately 1,200 packs of biscuits, over 900 bottles of UHT milk, 36 packages of ready-to-eat meals, 3 unit barrack tents (4x6), 15 velbed units, 80 blankets, more than 600 clothing items for all ages, nearly 1,000 pieces of women's underwear, over 800 dozen baby diapers, around 600 dozen sanitary napkins, 45 sleeping mats, and various medicines and multivitamins.
In addition to immediate relief supplies, Bakti BCA supported longer-term recovery through initiatives such as drilling of bore wells, provision of 5,000-liter water tanks, and construction of sanitation facilities in the affected areas. These efforts demonstrate BCA's commitment to supporting community resilience and recovery in the face of natural disasters. The program's comprehensive approach addresses both immediate needs and longer-term recovery requirements, reflecting the bank's dedication to making a meaningful impact in disaster-affected communities.
