EVP Corporate Communication & Social Responsibility, Hera F. Haryn, handed over aid to military representatives. The assistance package included basic necessities, mineral water, blankets, baby diapers, medicines, multivitamins, tents, and portable beds. Hera stated that BCA hopes for a quick recovery for the people of Sibolga and is committed to supporting the social and economic recovery of the affected areas.
The North Sumatra Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) reported that communities in Central Tapanuli and Sibolga remain isolated due to the disaster. Access roads to these areas are completely blocked by landslides and flash floods, compounded by disrupted communication networks. BPBD has deployed personnel and heavy equipment for search and rescue operations, as well as debris clearance, and has brought necessary logistics to the affected areas.
