PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI), one of Indonesia's major state-owned banks, has been entrusted by the Ministry of Social Affairs to distribute the Bantuan Langsung Tunai Sementara Kesejahteraan Rakyat (BLTS Kesra) program for 2025. As of November 2025, BNI has successfully disbursed Rp4.5 trillion in assistance to 4.9 million recipient families across Indonesia. The distribution process, which commenced in late October 2025, has been carried out through BNI's extensive network of branches and digital infrastructure, including its Agent46 network.
BNI's Corporate Secretary, Okki Rushartomo, confirmed that the bank has been working closely with the government to ensure the assistance reaches the intended beneficiaries efficiently. The bank has leveraged its comprehensive banking infrastructure to facilitate the distribution, emphasizing speed, accuracy, and transparency in the process. This initiative is part of the government's broader economic stimulus package announced in October 2025, aimed at boosting consumer spending power and supporting national economic growth.
The BLTS Kesra program is one of two major economic relief packages introduced by the government in October 2025. Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, announced that the program would benefit 35.046 million recipient families, potentially impacting approximately 140 million individuals. The distribution is being handled through state-owned banks, including BNI, BRI, and Mandiri, as well as PT Pos Indonesia. Other participating banks include PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) with Rp4.4 trillion for 4.9 million recipients, and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk (BMRI) with Rp3.22 trillion for 3.58 million recipients.
The BLTS Kesra program represents a significant government effort to stimulate economic activity through direct cash assistance. By partnering with major state-owned banks like BNI, the government aims to ensure that the funds are distributed efficiently and effectively to those in need. This initiative not only provides immediate financial relief to recipient families but also contributes to broader economic stability by maintaining consumer spending levels during challenging economic periods.
