BNI Leads Comprehensive Post-Disaster Recovery Efforts in Aceh

Supporting Housing for Disaster Victims

BNI is contributing to the construction of 120 Danantara Houses in Aceh Tamiang as part of the government's initiative to provide 15,000 housing units for disaster-affected communities across Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra. This effort is coordinated by Danantara Indonesia, with BNI's contribution representing 20% of the initial 600 units being built in Aceh Tamiang ¹

School Rehabilitation Efforts

In addition to housing support, BNI has led the cleanup of flood-damaged schools in Aceh Utara. The cleanup efforts, conducted in collaboration with other state-owned enterprises through the BUMN Peduli program, have focused on Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri (MIN) 33 Aceh Utara. BNI deployed heavy machinery including excavators and dump trucks to clear mud and debris, enabling the school to resume operations by early January 2026 ²

These initiatives are part of the broader BUMN Peduli Satu Hati untuk Sumatera program, which coordinates the efforts of various state-owned enterprises in supporting disaster recovery. Implementation and Impact

The housing construction in Aceh Tamiang is being led by PT Hutama Karya (Persero), with BNI's contribution being part of the coordinated effort to deliver 15,000 housing units across three provinces by March 2026. The school cleanup efforts have not only restored educational facilities but also demonstrated the effectiveness of inter-agency collaboration in disaster response ¹
