BPH Migas and PT Perusahaan Gas Negara Tbk (PGN) conducted comprehensive joint monitoring to ensure the continuity of gas supply during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holiday period. The monitoring included visits to key customers such as William Booth Hospital in Surabaya and PT Indospring Tbk in Gresik, confirming that gas distribution remained uninterrupted.

The joint monitoring revealed that gas supply during Nataru was maintained in very secure conditions without operational disruptions. BPH Migas Head Wahyudi Anas confirmed that the distribution capacity was more than sufficient to meet customer needs, with the gas transportation and distribution system operating normally and reliably. The electricity sector also remained stable during this period.

Strategic Measures by PGN

PGN implemented several strategic measures to ensure service continuity, including:

1. Establishing a special Nataru Task Force operating from November to January 11
2. Implementing a reliability strategy to maintain infrastructure integrity
3. Ensuring fulfillment of all supply contracts
4. Providing alternative supply options through beyond pipeline methods like CNG

The reliable gas supply had significant positive impacts on both industrial and public service sectors. For instance, William Booth Hospital in Surabaya, which has been using natural gas since 1998, reported 53% cost efficiency and no supply disruptions. PT Indospring Tbk, an industrial customer, continued their facility expansion and new factory development thanks to the consistent gas supply.
