BPH Migas has stepped up its monitoring of fuel supplies ahead of the 2025 Christmas and 2026 New Year (Nataru) period. The regulator has urged appointed fuel companies, including PT AKR Corporindo Tbk, to maintain adequate fuel stock levels at their facilities. This precautionary measure aims to ensure uninterrupted fuel distribution during the peak travel season when societal mobility is expected to surge.

Distribution Readiness and Emergency Planning

The BPH Migas committee members emphasized the importance of having robust distribution mechanisms in place. They highlighted the need for companies to implement the Regular, Alternative, and Emergency (RAE) distribution scheme to handle various scenarios that may arise during the Nataru period. This includes being prepared for potential disruptions due to weather conditions or other unforeseen circumstances.

Collaborative Efforts with Stakeholders

During their recent visit to PT AKR Corporindo Tbk's fuel terminal in Banjarmasin, BPH Migas officials met with company representatives to review preparedness measures. The regulator is working closely with fuel companies and other stakeholders to ensure that fuel supplies remain stable throughout the holiday period.

In addition to stockpiling and distribution planning, BPH Migas also stressed the importance of maintaining safety standards in fuel handling and distribution. The regulator urged companies to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to prevent accidents and ensure the smooth delivery of fuel to consumers.
