PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk has made significant progress in its Kredit Usaha Rakyat (KUR) distribution, a key component of the government's priority programs and BRI's Asta Cita initiatives. By the end of October 2025, BRI successfully disbursed Rp147.2 trillion in KUR loans to 3.2 million debtors, representing 83.2% of its total Rp177 trillion allocation for 2025.
The KUR allocation for 2025 was initially set at Rp175 trillion but was later increased to Rp177 trillion due to high demand from small business owners across Indonesia. The allocation was divided into Rp160 trillion for KUR Mikro (loans under Rp100 million) and Rp17 trillion for KUR Kecil (loans between Rp100 million and Rp500 million).
BRI's CEO, Hery Gunardi, emphasized that the bank remains committed to supporting government priority programs, particularly through KUR distribution as part of implementing Asta Cita. This initiative aims to strengthen UMKM, boost the real sector, and create employment opportunities across various regions. The bank has ensured that KUR distribution is conducted prudently, transparently, and accountably, adhering to applicable regulations.
With Rp29.8 trillion remaining from the KUR allocation, BRI plans to continue supporting UMKM growth and empowerment until the end of 2025. This remaining quota will be crucial in maintaining the momentum of UMKM development and sustaining national economic growth. BRI's proactive approach in managing KUR reflects its dedication to fostering a robust and sustainable UMKM sector, which is vital to Indonesia's economic backbone.
