The BRI-led Ultra Micro (UMi) Holding has made significant strides in financial inclusion, disbursing a total of Rp632.1 trillion in financing to 34.5 million active debtors across Indonesia as of September 2025. The holding, which includes PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI), PT Pegadaian, and PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM), has also recorded total micro savings exceeding 185 million accounts.
BRI's Micro Banking Director, Akhmad Purwakajaya, highlighted the company's ongoing efforts to enhance productivity and service efficiency through business process reengineering. Key initiatives include redesigning the role of micro mantri, enhancing Relationship Manager capabilities, and optimizing digital pipelines through BRIspot. These measures aim to improve service delivery and expand the reach of microfinance services.
The UMi Holding has leveraged an extensive network to deliver its services, comprising over 15,000 physical outlets, 1,035 SenyuM (Sentra Layanan Ultra Mikro) outlets, 1.2 million AgenBRILink agents, and 687,000 BRI e-channels. Additionally, the holding has deployed 79,000 marketing and financial advisory personnel from BRI, Pegadaian, and PNM across Indonesia.
The holding's financial performance remains robust, with consolidated net profit reaching Rp41.23 trillion by the end of Q3 2025. This figure includes Rp40.78 trillion attributable to owners and Rp453.43 billion to non-controlling interests. While net interest income rose 2.9% to Rp110.99 trillion, driven by a 3% increase in interest income to Rp155.16 trillion, the holding also faced challenges such as a 13.99% rise in impairment losses to Rp33.59 trillion and a significant 74.7% increase in other expenses to Rp69.83 trillion.
BRI reported a 6.26% growth in credit disbursement, from Rp1.353.36 trillion in Q3 2024 to Rp1.438.11 trillion in Q3 2025. This growth underscores the bank's continued focus on expanding its lending activities while maintaining prudent risk management practices.
