The award was presented during the Anugerah Penggerak Nusantara 2025 event held on November 20, 2025.
The UMi holding, which comprises BRI, Pegadaian, and PNM, has made remarkable progress in enhancing financial inclusion across the country. As of September 2025, the holding has successfully reached 34.5 million active debtors and maintained 185 million micro savings accounts. These numbers demonstrate the significant impact of the UMi initiative in providing access to financial services for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
The BRI Group has also made significant strides in digital services through the bullion and Tring application offered by Pegadaian. As of September 2025, these services have attracted 14.1 million customers who have saved a total of 14.2 tons of gold, representing a remarkable 52% year-on-year growth. This growth highlights the increasing demand for digital gold savings products and the group's successful strategy in promoting financial inclusion through innovative digital channels.
The UMi holding operates an extensive network that includes more than 15,000 physical outlets, 1,035 SenyuM (Sentra Layanan Ultra Mikro) outlets, 1.2 million AgenBRILink agents, and over 687,000 BRI e-channels. Additionally, the holding has approximately 79,000 marketing and financial advisory personnel from BRI, Pegadaian, and PNM spread across Indonesia. This comprehensive network ensures that financial services are accessible to a wide range of customers, particularly those in remote and underserved areas.
Beyond providing financial access, the UMi holding actively supports business empowerment through various programs. Initiatives such as Rumah BUMN, Desa BRILiaN, and Klaster Usaha are designed to help micro-enterprises improve their capabilities and competitiveness. These programs play a crucial role in enabling MSMEs to 'level up' their businesses and create new job opportunities.
The Anugerah Penggerak Sektor Keuangan award is a testament to BRI's commitment to creating both economic and social value. BRI's management has expressed its intention to continue strengthening the UMi holding as an integrated financial ecosystem that can drive inclusive and sustainable national economic growth. The award also reflects the growing recognition of BRI's role in supporting the Indonesian government's economic development goals, particularly in promoting financial inclusion and MSME development.
