The bank's comprehensive assistance package totaling 27 tons of aid was delivered in two phases, with 13.5 tons in each phase. BSI's CEO Anggoro Eko Cahyo personally led the distribution efforts, ensuring effective coordination with local authorities.
The relief package included a wide range of essential supplies such as food items (rice, biscuits, oil, milk), medical supplies, rubber boats, blankets, prayer equipment, and diapers. In addition to these basic necessities, BSI also provided advanced communication equipment including Starlink devices and satellite phones. These communication tools were specifically designated to support disaster coordination efforts and maintain operational continuity for BSI's services in the affected region.
The distribution efforts were conducted in close coordination with the Aceh Disaster Management Agency (BPBA). BSI's CEO also met with Aceh's Vice Governor Fadhlullah to discuss the relief efforts and handed over the communication equipment. During his visit, he also inspected facilities at Universitas Syiah Kuala and UIN Ar-Raniry, demonstrating the bank's commitment to supporting both immediate relief and longer-term recovery efforts.
