BSI's restructuring initiative aligns with government programs aimed at mitigating the impact of hydrometeorological disasters in Sumatra, particularly Aceh. The bank is working closely with the Financial Services Authority (OJK), relevant ministries, local government, and disaster management agencies to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices in corporate governance.
As of December 18, 2025, BSI has restored operations in 97% of its Aceh branches (140 out of 145), with 78% of ATMs and 89% of BSI Agent Laku Pandai services restored. The bank is encouraging customers to utilize digital services through BYOND by BSI, agent networks, and the 14040 call center for information on restructuring mechanisms.
As of September 2025, BSI reported total financing of Rp301 trillion with a gross non-performing financing (NPF) ratio of 1.86%, indicating a relatively healthy asset quality.
