PT Bank Tabungan Negara (BBTN) and PT Bank Syariah Nasional (BSN) have announced comprehensive support measures for customers affected by the recent floods and landslides in Sumatra. The banks are providing credit relief through restructuring programs tailored to the level of impact experienced by customers.
BTN is supporting 22,879 customers across various locations including Banda Aceh, Medan, Padang, and Pematang Siantar, with total outstanding credit of Rp1.93 trillion 1
BSN is providing similar relief to over 8,000 customers affected by the disaster 2
Both banks have ensured that banking services remain operational during the holiday season. BTN has allocated Rp19.67 trillion in cash to meet customer needs during the period between December 22, 2025, and January 2, 2026. The bank has also maintained its digital services through the bale by BTN super app.
The credit relief measures are being implemented in accordance with Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) Regulation No. 19/2022, which allows for special treatment for financial institutions serving areas affected by disasters. Both BTN and BSN are ensuring that their relief measures are carefully calibrated to individual customer needs while maintaining prudent banking practices.
