Bulog Distributes Food Aid to Disaster-Affected Areas in Sumatra

Comprehensive Relief Efforts Across Multiple Regions

Perum Bulog has been actively distributing food aid to regions affected by natural disasters in Sumatra. As of January 8, 2026, the company has made significant progress in delivering essential supplies to Aceh, North Sumatra, and West Sumatra.

Aceh Region

In Aceh, Bulog has successfully distributed 12,561 tons of rice from the government's rice reserve and 154 tons from regional reserves. The total aid package for Aceh includes 8,922 tons of rice and 1,784 kiloliters of cooking oil as instructed by the President. The distribution initially focused on areas such as Takengon and Bener Meriah, later expanding to other affected regions including Aceh Tamiang.

North Sumatra

The distribution efforts in North Sumatra have resulted in 5,098 tons of government rice aid being delivered, supplemented by 57 tons from regional reserves. Additionally, the region received 15,211 tons of rice and 3,042 kiloliters of cooking oil as part of the broader food assistance program.

West Sumatra

In West Sumatra, Bulog has distributed 1,609 tons of rice with an additional 160 tons from regional sources. The total food assistance package for the region included 6,795 tons of rice and 1,359 kiloliters of cooking oil. The emergency response phase has been completed successfully according to Bulog's Director, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani.

The distribution process has been carried out efficiently under Bulog's management, with clear reporting of quantities and regions served. The aid distribution includes not only food supplies but also other essential assistance.
