Perum Bulog has launched a significant relief operation, dispatching 1,245 tons of rice to support victims of recent flooding in Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra. The comprehensive aid package is designed to sustain 355,537 individuals across the affected regions for a period of 14 days.

Detailed Distribution Breakdown

The rice distribution is carefully calculated based on the specific needs of each province:

• Aceh: 158,752 beneficiaries receiving 555.63 tons
• West Sumatra: 101,805 beneficiaries receiving 356.31 tons
• North Sumatra: 95,230 beneficiaries receiving 333.30 tons

Operational Details

The relief effort is being executed directly from Bulog's strategically located warehouses in the affected regions. This approach ensures timely delivery and efficient distribution of the aid. Bulog's Director, Ahmad Rizal Ramdhani, confirmed that the organization had previously distributed initial aid shipments to the affected areas.

Prior to the current large-scale operation, Bulog had already delivered preliminary aid to Aceh, including:

• 73.19 tons distributed across various locations
• Specific allocations to cities like Banda Aceh (6 tons), Lhokseumawe (9 tons), and other affected districts
