Key insights and market outlook
Danantara Asset Management is set to receive approximately Rp15.89 trillion in interim dividends from PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI) and PT Bank Mandiri (BMRI) in mid-January 2026. The payment is part of the interim dividend distribution for the fiscal year 2025, with BBRI contributing around Rp11.04 trillion and BMRI contributing about Rp4.85 trillion. This significant inflow is expected to benefit Danantara as the majority shareholder of both banks.
Danantara Asset Management, the sovereign wealth fund manager, is poised to receive tens of trillions of rupiah in interim dividends from two major state-owned banks: PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk. (BBRI) and PT Bank Mandiri (Persero) Tbk. (BMRI). The total dividend inflow is estimated at approximately Rp15.89 trillion, scheduled for distribution in mid-January 2026.
The substantial dividend payout will primarily benefit Danantara Asset Management due to its majority stake in both banks. Additionally, Indonesia Investment Authority (INA), another state-owned investment vehicle, is also set to receive a significant amount from BMRI's dividend distribution, estimated at around Rp746.66 billion.
The interim dividend payments underscore the strong financial performance of both BBRI and BMRI during the first nine months of 2025. The distributions are based on the banks' financial results as of September 30, 2025, and have been approved by their respective boards of commissioners. The payments are not expected to materially impact the banks' operational activities or financial standing.
