The 170.73 km Betung-Tempino-Jambi toll road is divided into three main sections: Betung-Tungkal Jaya (62.38 km), Tungkal Jaya-Bayung Lencir (54.32 km), and Bayung Lencir-Sp. Ness (52.59 km). As of now, the construction progress has reached 30.83%, while land acquisition has progressed to 43.35% 1
The project includes five interchange points: Betung (2.2 km), Tungkal Jaya (3.31 km), Bayung Lencir (2.98 km), Tempino (1.87 km), and Ness (2.07 km). Four rest areas are planned at various points along the route. The toll road is expected to be completed by Q1 2027 and will reduce travel time from Jambi to Betung from 6 hours to just 2 hours 1
In another development, PT Hutama Marga Waskita (Hamawas) is preparing to operate a 13 km segment of the Kuala Tanjung-Tebing Tinggi-Parapat (Kutepat) toll road during the 2025/2026 Nataru holiday period.
