Inalum's Bauxite Refinery Project Advances with Danantara Participation

Strategic Investment in Aluminum Value Chain

PT Indonesia Asahan Aluminium (Inalum), a member of the MIND ID state-owned mining holding company, has announced that Badan Pengelola Investasi (BPI) Danantara will participate in its bauxite refinery project. The Smelter Grade Alumina Refinery (SGAR) project, located in Mempawah, West Kalimantan, is being developed in two phases.

Alignment with National Industrial Strategy

Inalum's Head of Corporate Communication, Utrich Farzah, stated that the SGAR project aligns with Danantara's mandate as a government investment vehicle focused on strengthening national industrial value chains. The project is particularly significant for the aluminum supply chain ecosystem in Indonesia.
