The Indonesian government has launched an accelerated development program for Koperasi Desa/Kelurahan Merah Putih (Kopdes/KDKMP) infrastructure, focusing on warehouse and retail outlet construction to enhance rural economic development and local product distribution. This strategic initiative aims to create a robust network of community-based economic infrastructure across the country.

Current Development Status

The development program has identified approximately 11,000 potential sites across various regions in Indonesia. As of now, 7,500 infrastructure units are under construction by state-owned enterprise PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero). The construction includes both storage facilities and retail outlets designed to support local economic activities.

Minister of Cooperatives Ferry Juliantono emphasized that the government is currently conducting thorough factual verification of the identified land parcels. This process involves checking the land's status, condition, and suitability for the planned infrastructure. Following this verification, the government will proceed with the construction of warehouses and retail outlets at the verified locations.
