The Indonesian Ministry of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/National Land Agency (ATR/BPN) has issued Hak Guna Usaha (HGU) and Hak Guna Bangunan (HGB) permits covering 328,000 hectares in Papua Selatan province. This significant land allocation is part of a broader 486,000-hectare development plan aimed at supporting the national food, energy, and water security initiatives.

According to Minister Nusron Wahid, the land permits have been issued across three regencies: Merauke, Mappi, and Boven Digoel. The minister emphasized that the provision of legal certainty through land certificates is crucial for preventing land disputes and ensuring the smooth implementation of the national program.
