Indonesia demonstrated its commitment to strengthening the role of developing countries in global economic governance through its active participation in the G20 Summit 2025 in South Africa. The Indonesian delegation, led by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, attended the high-level conference held in Johannesburg. The G20 Presidency has been led by different countries representing the Global South in recent years, starting with Indonesia in 2022, followed by India, Brazil, and South Africa in 2025. This leadership rotation underscores the growing importance of developing countries in global economic governance. The South African presidency took the theme of 'Solidarity, Equality, and Sustainability', marking a significant continuation of the Global South's leadership in the G20 process.
