The Nusantara Capital Authority (Otorita IKN) has successfully conducted the signing of six new contracts worth a total of Rp1 trillion for the development of Phase II of Indonesia's new capital city. This significant milestone was witnessed by the Head of IKN Authority, Basuki Hadimuljono, and marks a crucial step in the ongoing development process.
The contracts signed include one physical work package and five construction management packages. The physical work package involves the construction of a 3.7 km legislative complex road, comprising 10 main segments and 4 bridges. This multi-year project is scheduled to be completed by 2027 and will be executed by a consortium including PT Bangun Cipta Kontraktor, PT Modern Widya Tehnical, PT Markinah, and PT Daya Mulia Turangga.

The Head of Otorita IKN, Basuki Hadimuljono, emphasized that while the authority provides the regulatory framework and budget allocation through DIPA, the actual job creation will be driven by the contractors and construction management firms involved in these projects. This initiative is expected to generate significant employment opportunities across various sectors, including construction, consulting, and supporting services.
Following the contract signing ceremony, an integrated pre-construction meeting (PCM) was held to finalize work methodologies, traffic management plans, and technical coordination among stakeholders. This meeting served as a crucial platform for aligning expectations, mitigating potential issues, and ensuring smooth project execution.
The Phase II development projects align with the medium-term development targets outlined by the President through Presidential Regulation Number 79 of 2025. These infrastructure developments are critical for establishing the functional capabilities of the new capital city and supporting its role as the administrative center of Indonesia.
