Enhanced Collaboration Between Kemenperin and Kemenlu

The Indonesian Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu) have formalized their collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed on December 18, 2025. This strategic partnership aims to create a synergistic effort in strengthening international cooperation, promoting investment, and facilitating exports in the development of Indonesia's national industry.

Key Objectives of the MoU

The MoU focuses on several key areas: attracting quality investment, expanding market access for Indonesian products, and enhancing technology transfer and human resource capacity in the industrial sector. By working together, Kemenperin and Kemenlu aim to create a more conducive environment for industrial development and economic growth.

Government's Priority on Industrial Competitiveness

Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita emphasized that strengthening the competitiveness of Indonesia's national industry is a top priority for the government. In the face of increasingly competitive global economic dynamics, the government is committed to developing targeted international cooperation to achieve this goal. The collaboration between Kemenperin and Kemenlu is seen as a crucial step in this direction, as it leverages the strengths of both ministries to create a more robust industrial sector.
