The decision was announced by Diana Kusumastuti, Deputy Minister of Public Works, during a meeting with Commission V of the DPR RI on December 8, 2025. The varying discount rates, ranging between 10% to 20%, will be determined based on proposals from individual toll road operating companies (BUJT). This initiative reflects the government's efforts to ease the travel burden on citizens during the holiday season and promote economic activity by encouraging travel and transportation.
