Indonesian Agriculture Ministry to Build 30 Animal Feed Mills

Supporting Poultry Farmers Through Infrastructure Development

The Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture, led by Minister Andi Amran Sulaiman, has announced plans to construct 30 animal feed mills across various regions in Indonesia. The locations for these mills include East Java, Lampung, and Kalimantan. According to Amran, this strategic initiative is designed to support the country's poultry farmers by ensuring a stable supply of affordable animal feed, day-old chicks (DOC), and veterinary medicines.

The minister explained that the feed mills will be distributed across different islands to promote regional self-sufficiency in animal feed production. This approach is intended to make feed more accessible to farmers while maintaining quality standards. Amran emphasized that the government's objective is not to compete with small-scale farmers but to provide them with reliable access to essential resources at competitive prices.
