Comprehensive Infrastructure Restoration Efforts

The Indonesian government has launched comprehensive efforts to restore critical infrastructure in Sumatra following devastating floods and landslides in late November 2025. As of mid-December 2025, significant progress has been made across various sectors:

Road Access Restoration

Secretary of the Cabinet Teddy Indra Wijaya reported that all 52 affected regencies/cities now have restored road connectivity ⁴

Electricity Supply Recovery

Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Bahlil Lahadalia announced that Banda Aceh's electricity supply has been fully restored, with the city's total load of 120 megawatts now operational ²
