The Indonesian government has initiated a significant relief operation for the recent flood victims in Aceh, West Sumatra, and North Sumatra. Through the Ministry of Agriculture, a comprehensive aid package worth Rp75 billion has been mobilized to support those affected by the natural disasters.

The assistance package comprises various essential commodities crucial for the immediate relief of the flood victims. The breakdown includes:

• 21.8 tons of rice
• 11,000 cartons of instant noodles
• 505,000 liters of cooking oil
• 7.5 tons of sugar
• Large quantities of eggs and milk
• **14,423 packs of diapers

Distribution Mechanism

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman confirmed that the aid distribution will be conducted in stages, with the first shipment scheduled to depart from Jakarta to the affected areas using Indonesian Air Force aircraft. The minister expressed condolences for the losses suffered by the affected communities and highlighted the collective effort in gathering the aid.
