Indonesia's Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Bahlil Lahadalia, has reaffirmed the government's commitment to achieving the 2025 oil production target of 605,000 barrels per day. During a working meeting with Commission VII of the DPR RI, Bahlil emphasized that meeting this target is his top priority, as mandated by President Prabowo Subianto and outlined in the State Budget (APBN).

In a notable display of dedication, Bahlil revealed that he personally reads prayers every night for the success of achieving the oil production target. "I honestly say that when I go to bed at night, I read bedtime prayers, and finally pray for the lifting (oil production). Because for me, my KPI held by Mr. President is what is targeted in the APBN, in the APBN law," Bahlil explained during the meeting. This personal commitment underscores the government's seriousness in addressing the country's energy production challenges.

Bahlil also clarified his approach to managing energy-related tasks, stating, "I don't want to be troubled. As a minister, I am a state official who assists the President. Our boss is only the President. So, we work according to what is instructed, not what others think. If their thoughts are good, we embrace them. But if they are not good, well, sorry then."
