This positive outlook is supported by the sector's strong performance in 2025, which demonstrated resilience against global geopolitical pressures and trade tensions.
Data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) reveals that the logistics and supply chain sector maintained solid growth throughout 2025. The warehousing and transportation subsectors recorded growth rates of 9.01%, 8.52%, and 8.62% in the last three quarters, respectively. This robust performance contributed 6.08% to Indonesia's GDP, highlighting the sector's critical role in supporting the national economy.
Yukki Nugrahawan Hanafi, Senior Vice President of FIATA and Chairman of the Indonesian Logistics and Forwarders Association (ALFI), attributed the sector's success to its ability to navigate complex global challenges while maintaining positive growth. Hanafi noted that despite intense geopolitical tensions and trade wars in 2025, Indonesia's logistics sector continued to grow positively and contributed around 5% to economic growth.
