Indonesia's Mining Sector PNBP Nears Annual Target

Significant Progress in PNBP Collection

The Indonesian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has announced that the Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from the mining sector has reached Rp 120 trillion for the period January-November 2025. This figure represents 96% of the annual target set at Rp 124.7 trillion. According to Totoh Abdul Fatah, Director of Mineral and Coal Revenue at the ESDM, the average monthly revenue from the mining sector is between Rp 10 trillion and Rp 11 trillion.

Path to Achieving Full-Year Target

To reach the full-year target of Rp 124.7 trillion, the government needs an additional Rp 4 trillion from the mining sector for the remaining month of December 2025. The consistent monthly revenue suggests that achieving the target is feasible, given the historical performance of the sector. The ESDM remains optimistic about meeting the PNBP target for 2025, driven by stable commodity prices and effective revenue management.
