Comprehensive Response to Infrastructure Damage

The Indonesian Ministry of Public Works (PU) has launched a comprehensive response to the recent flood and landslide disasters in Aceh, focusing on rapid restoration of critical infrastructure. The ministry has deployed heavy equipment including 4 excavators, 2 wheel loaders, and 2 motor graders to clear roads and repair damaged sections ¹

Restoration of Transportation Links

The disaster has significantly impacted Aceh's transportation network, with 13 bridges damaged on the Central Cross Route. In response, the ministry has initiated the installation of Bailey bridges to restore connectivity ²

Collaborative Efforts for Community Support

The Ministry of PU is collaborating with state-owned enterprises (BUMN Karya) to provide essential services to affected communities. The support includes mobile water tanks, water treatment units, and sanitation facilities to address immediate community needs. Specifically, the support packages include 2 mobile water tanks, 20 water reservoirs, and 4 dump trucks mobilized from Medan's Tanjung Morawa depot ¹
