The Indonesian Ministry of Public Works has entered into a significant infrastructure contract worth Rp 1.23 trillion to develop 152 nutrition centers as part of the government's Makan Bergizi Gratis (MBG) program. This initiative aims to enhance nutrition services across the country through the establishment of Satuan Pelayanan Pemenuhan Gizi (SPPG) facilities.
The construction project will be divided into three separate contract packages. The first package, worth Rp 639.23 billion, has been awarded to PT Hutama Karya (Persero), with PT Tata Karya Konsultas serving as the supervision consultant for Rp 7.31 billion. The second package, valued at Rp 581.23 billion, has been contracted to PT Adhi Karya (Persero) Tbk, while PT Ciriajasa Cipta Mandiri will provide supervision services for Rp 6.31 billion.
The 152 SPPG facilities will be distributed across various provinces. The first package will focus on locations in Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, Riau, Jambi, and South Sumatra. The second package covers locations in Bangka Belitung, Bengkulu, Lampung, West Kalimantan, Central Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, and South Kalimantan.
The project is the result of coordination between the Ministry of Public Works and other government agencies. The original plan included 264 locations, but this was adjusted to 222 facilities across 29 provinces due to various readiness factors, including land ownership status. The Ministry is working closely with local governments to address these challenges and ensure successful project implementation.
