Trade Minister Budi Santoso stated that this decision demonstrates Indonesia's stainless steel industry competitiveness in the international market. The export value of CRSS to Turkey has shown significant growth, reaching $108.6 million in 2024 from $21.9 million in 2020.
The Turkish government has concluded its anti-dumping investigation into Indonesia's Cold-Rolled Stainless Steel Flat (CRSS) products without imposing any anti-dumping measures. This decision, announced on December 27, 2025, marks a significant victory for Indonesia's stainless steel industry. Trade Minister Budi Santoso welcomed the decision, stating that it demonstrates the competitiveness and fairness of Indonesia's stainless steel exports.
The investigation, which began on June 28, 2024, was conducted by Turkey's Anti-Dumping and Subsidies Bureau. The Turkish authorities found that while there were indications of dumping, the dumping margin was below the threshold considered significant. Moreover, the investigation concluded that the imports from Indonesia did not cause material injury to Turkey's domestic industry.
The export of CRSS products from Indonesia to Turkey has shown remarkable growth over the past few years. In 2020, the export value was recorded at $21.9 million, which increased to $31.2 million in 2021, $37.6 million in 2022, and $66.8 million in 2023. The export value surged to $108.6 million in 2024, indicating a strong demand for Indonesian stainless steel products in Turkey. As of the third quarter of 2025, exports had reached $66.2 million.
The Indonesian government played an active role in monitoring the investigation process. Minister Budi Santoso highlighted that the success was partly due to the cooperation of national steel producers in providing accurate data and information during the investigation. The government's efforts to ensure that the Turkish authorities applied objective and internationally accepted calculation methods were crucial in achieving this positive outcome.
This decision is expected to boost Indonesia's stainless steel exports to Turkey and potentially other regions. The exemption from anti-dumping duties removes a significant trade barrier, making Indonesian products more competitive in the Turkish market. The Indonesian government and industry stakeholders view this as a testament to the country's ability to compete fairly and effectively in the global market.
