PT MRT Jakarta is set to implement traffic management measures starting January 10, 2026, in preparation for the MRT Jakarta Phase 2A CP203 project. The construction project, scheduled to run until July 15, 2026, encompasses the development of Stasiun Glodok and Stasiun Kota, along with the construction of an underground tunnel spanning 690 meters. The total track length covered under this phase is approximately 1.4 kilometers, connecting Mangga Besar to Kota Tua.
The traffic management plan has been coordinated with various stakeholders, including the Jakarta Transportation Agency and the Traffic Police of Metro Jaya. This collaboration ensures minimal disruption to daily commuters while facilitating the construction activities. PT MRT Jakarta has been working closely with its contractors, Sumitomo Mitsui Construction Company – Hutama Karya Joint Operation (SMCC-HK JO), since April 2021 to prepare for this phase of the project.
Commuters are advised to anticipate potential traffic adjustments in the vicinity of Stasiun Kota and Stasiun Glodok during the construction period. PT MRT Jakarta has assured that the traffic management measures are designed to minimize inconvenience to the public while ensuring the successful completion of the MRT Phase 2A CP203 project.
