Jasa Marga reported 154,603 vehicles leaving Jabotabek during the H-7 period before Christmas 2025, representing a 7.7% increase compared to normal traffic volume. The majority (42.5%) of vehicles headed east towards Trans Jawa and Bandung, while 33.4% went west towards Merak and 24.2% south towards Puncak.
Jasa Marga, the state-owned toll road operator, has reported a substantial increase in traffic leaving the Jakarta-Bogor-Tangerang-Bekasi (Jabotabek) area during the seven days leading up to Christmas 2025. According to Rivan Achmad Purwantono, the company's CEO, a total of 154,603 vehicles exited Jabotabek between December 18, 2025, 06:00 WIB and December 19, 2025, 06:00 WIB. This represents a 7.7% increase compared to normal traffic volumes.
The traffic distribution showed that the majority of vehicles, 65,648 or 42.5%, were headed east towards Trans Jawa and Bandung via GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama. Another 51,591 vehicles (33.4%) traveled west towards Merak through GT Cikupa, while 37,364 vehicles (24.2%) went south towards Puncak via GT Ciawi.
This significant outflow indicates a strong travel demand during the pre-Christmas period, reflecting the importance of effective traffic management during peak holiday seasons. Jasa Marga's monitoring and management of toll gate traffic will be crucial in ensuring smooth journeys for travelers.
