KAI Commuter has officially commenced operation of two new KRL trainsets (CLI-225) manufactured by PT INKA (Persero) for the Jabodetabek Commuter Line service starting December 16, 2025 ¹

. The new trains have successfully passed rigorous safety and feasibility certification by the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) under the Ministry of Transportation.

Operational Details

The initial deployment will see these new trains operating on the Bogor-Manggarai/Jakarta Kota route, with a total of 8 daily trips ¹

. According to Mochamad Purnomosidi, CEO of KAI Commuter, the new trains were introduced after completing dynamic testing as required by Ministry of Transportation Regulation No. PM 49 of 2023 ²
