KAI Commuter Introduces Special Train Service for Farmers and Traders

Enhanced Transportation for Agricultural Sector

KAI Commuter, part of the KAI Group, is set to launch a specialized train service for farmers and traders on the Merak Commuter Line starting December 1, 2025. This initiative aims to improve the transportation of agricultural products and support local trade.

Service Details

The special train service will operate with the following features:

• Capacity: 73 seats available per trip
• Frequency: 7 daily trips from Merak to Rangkasbitung and 7 return trips
• Fare: Flat rate of Rp 3,000 per passenger
• Integration: The special service will be incorporated into the existing Merak Commuter Line schedule

Registration and Ticketing Process

To use this service, farmers and traders need to register in advance by:

1. Visiting the registration counter at the station
2. Providing identification
3. Filling out a registration form
4. Obtaining a Farmer/Trader Card

The registration can be done before the travel date or on the day of travel. Cardholders can:

• Book and purchase tickets up to 7 days in advance
• Access the waiting area 2 hours before departure

Luggage Policy

The service allows passengers to bring:

• Up to 2 pieces of luggage (koli)
• Maximum dimensions: 100 cm x 40 cm x 30 cm per piece

Prohibited items include:

• Strong-smelling goods
• Livestock
• Flammable materials
• Sharp weapons/firearms
