KAI Introduces Special Train Service for Traders and Farmers

PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) has launched a specialized train service for traders and farmers, starting operations on December 1, 2025. This new service is designed to facilitate the transportation of agricultural products and goods between Merak and Rangkasbitung. The train service is integrated with the existing KA Lokal/Commuter Line Merak, offering a capacity of 73 seats.

Operational Details

The special train will operate 7 round trips daily, with schedules aligned with the existing KA Lokal Merak from Rangkasbitung Station. To access this service, traders and farmers must register in advance to obtain a free special card. The registration process is straightforward: applicants need to visit the designated ticket counter, present their identity card, and fill out a registration form.
