KPK Names Kemenhub Official Suspect in Railway Project Corruption Case

Investigation Uncovers Evidence of Wrongdoing

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has taken decisive action in a railway project corruption case by naming Muhammad Chusnul, an Inspector of Railway Infrastructure at the Ministry of Transportation, as a suspect. According to Plt Deputi Penindakan KPK Asep Guntur Rahayu, the decision was made after investigators gathered sufficient evidence during their probe.

Legal Basis for Detention

Asep explained that the KPK had conducted a series of investigations and found two pieces of evidence that met the legal threshold for naming Chusnul as a suspect. The evidence was considered sufficient to warrant his detention. Chusnul, who served as Inspector of Railway Infrastructure at the Ministry of Transportation's Directorate of Railway Infrastructure in 2024, was formally detained following the announcement.
