Kustodian Sentral Efek Indonesia (KSEI) has announced a substantial increase in the number of Single Investor Identification (SID) in the Indonesian capital market. As of December 24, 2025, the total number of SIDs reached 20,226,040, representing a 36% year-on-year growth compared to the 14,871,639 SIDs recorded at the end of 2024.
According to Direktur Utama KSEI Samsul Hidayat, this significant increase is a result of the collective efforts of all stakeholders in promoting the benefits and functions of the capital market. The growth in SID numbers indicates a rising interest in the capital market among investors.
KSEI has issued a total of 25,020,250 SIDs as of the end of 2025. From this total, approximately 4 million SIDs were specifically created for certain institutions, such as Tapera, while the remaining 20 million SIDs were allocated for individual investors in the Indonesian capital market.
The increase in SID numbers reflects the growing participation of investors in the Indonesian capital market. This trend is expected to continue, driven by the ongoing efforts to promote the capital market and its benefits to a wider audience.
